What this lesson shows
Signs and houses describe the same sky using two different reference frames.
Signs are fixed to the yearly solar path and do not move with the observer.
Houses are fixed to the local horizon and rotate with the observer as Earth turns.
The signs remain stable while the houses shift continuously through the day.
The Ascendant marks where the zodiac meets the eastern horizon.
Using both systems together allows position to be described both globally and locally.
