First off, what is the MAF Network? The Meridian Alignment Frame Network is an array of Djed widgets throughout the planet that measure tidal accelerations.
William Thomson, a.k.a. Lord Kelvin, performed the same type of experiment to predict the oceanic tides. He used water inertia detection equipment to determine the pattern in the oscillations. The result is a device that resembles the functionality of the Antikythera Mechanism.
